 June 2009 Topic: Father's Day
June is a special month for all fathers, best known as Father's Day (June 21st). Fathers have a very special place in the family. They are known as the head of the household, the provider of needs for the children. More important, they are to be spiritual examples and advisors that their children can look up too. As fathers who are alive are to remembered for Father's day, those whose fathers have passed away can honor their memory. Even though my father has been gone for 44 1/2 years, I'm thankful for him to have been around for my 1st 4 years of life as his musicianship rubbed off on me. Most important of all, God is our Heavenly Father who you and I can look to every day. He is our guide in everything, especially to those who are fatherless. Let us remember the fathers this month. Any way of wishing them a Happy Father's Day would make them happy.
